'An Apple a Day keeps the Doctor Away' - Anti Cancer Research
Latest research by the New Zealand Tree Crops Association has found heritage apple varieties Monty's Surprise, Hetlina and Ferro Ruse to have very high levels of quercetin flavonoids and procyanidins (300 to 400% more than any commercially available varieties) that can inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

Monty's Surprise, Hetlina and Ferro Ruse Apples are all being grown at TreeLife Nursery for supply as two-year seedlings from June 2008.

Monty's Surprise Apple Seedlings are available on MM106 and MM793 rootstock.
